We are looking for a Head of Product to lead our Product function as we experience explosive growth and scale. Success in this role looks like:
Driving the team to reach our product vision and goals. Break down ambitious goals into strategies, roadmaps and teams to ensure that all of the teams are reaching towards one, unified goal.
Ruthlessly prioritise, drive decision making and alignment across the organisation. Ensuring that the cadence of work remains high in terms of velocity and quality by removing roadblocks, saying no and keeping the team accountable.
Recruiting, nurturing and mentoring a talented team of product managers and product designers. Scaling the team at the right time, with the right skill sets and ensuring that the product team has the space and support to expand their expertise and deepen their impact.
Fostering effective cross-functional collaboration with other product leaders, engineering, marketing and operations. Ensuring that communication channels are clear, processes are in place and being the connective tissue across these functions.
Creating a world-class product culture and evangelising it. We’re striving to be known as one of the best product organisations to join which means constantly improving the way we do and think about product through processes, frameworks and structures.
A Product Leader. You’ve spent 6+ years building Products in high growth companies. You are outcome focused and know that good strategy, ruthless prioritisation and alignment is key to that. You deeply appreciate and understand the Product craft and are passionate about evangelising that across the organisation.
A People Leader. You’ve spent 3+ years managing or mentoring people of all levels and understand how to coach, and mentor people directly and indirectly. You are passionate and truly understand people, their motivations and how to make them succeed.
An expert in building teams, systems for autonomous, empowered teams. You know it’s easier to tell people what to do, but more impactful for the business as we scale to foster deep understanding of our product vision and strategy. You know that a company’s strategy cannot be executed without a strong team behind it. You love building systems, processes where it makes sense and culture that helps people do their best work (and hence, make the company succeed).
Excellent collaborator and communicator. You bring people on the journey and can articulate even complex concepts to different audiences. You can balance between getting feedback and being able to push back and say no when necessary.
Strong commercial and analytical lens. You excel with understanding what makes a business successful, and can effectively use data (qualitative and quantitative) to make decisions.
A bias for action. You quickly turn discussions into action to move the work forward. You are proactive and able to quickly synthesise data and insights to make sound product decisions.
Bonus points for:
Scaleup experience. You’ve been part of companies that grew from 100 → 1000 headcount before.
Why join Eucalyptus?
We are building the future of accessible, patient-centric healthcare right here in Australia!
In just 2 years, we've grown to over 100 000 patients across 3 companies. Blackbird, who invested in us, put us among the fastest-growing companies they have ever funded.
What do we do, exactly?
Well, we have built a technology platform to deliver healthcare to Australians with a level of care and depth that brings healthcare into the internet age. We plug into doctors, specialists and pharmacies from all over the country, and our brands (Pilot, Kin and Software) cater for different demographics. Our most recent brand, Normal, is changing the conversation around sexual health and wellness.
How do we work?
Things move quickly here. We like to set goals with the mindset that if we hit them all we haven’t challenged ourselves enough. You’ll be surrounded by a world-class team of thinkers, designers, engineers and leaders who are obsessed with three things:
- The health and wellbeing of the average person
- Creating personalised, engaging, convenient user-experiences
- Making healthcare fun and interesting (because it is)
The organisation is flat and decision making happens regularly and rapidly at every level of the org. We believe too many chefs spoil the broth and ultimately people are given the freedom to make decisions (and mistakes), and learn from the journey. Ultimately, we believe ideas are cheap and execution is more important than anything.
Why you'll thrive here
We want to set you up for success from day one, ensuring you’ll thrive here because you’ll:
- Come in at the ground floor at one of the fastest growing startups in the country while we are still small (~80 people).
- An awesome office in Haymarket, near Central (with flexible work – esp. during COVID).
- See the meaningful impact of your work on over tens of thousands of actual users (check out the customers that love us!).
- Learn from some of Australia’s best marketers, engineers and creatives, joining a diverse team from Atlassian, Canva, Koala, McKinsey, BuzzFeed, Optiver, Halter and more.
- A share in the company (equity), so you are rewarded for your best work.
